The Ladybird Mural

Ipswich, England

Public Art With A Purpose, The Beautiful Ladybird Mural Bringing Nature to the Streets of Ipswich Celebrating A Unified Community and Positive Spirit.

The Ladybird mural is positioned on the rear of a legal firm’s offices opposite Ipswich Town FC’s iconic Portman Road Stadium, creating a striking visual landmark within one of the town’s most recognisable locations. Commissioned as part of the Wild Walls street art festival, the first event of its kind in Ipswich and co-founded by us. The mural reflects the festival’s ambition to bring bold, meaningful public art into the heart of the community and to celebrate it's unity.

A gift for Ipswich and it's people: The Story Behind the Mural

To realise the project, we collaborated with acclaimed London-based street artist Woskerski, whose distinctive style and technical skill brought the concept to life at a monumental scale. More than simply a public artwork, the mural represents a collective creative process rooted in local voices and participation.

The concept for The Ladybird was developed through a series of ideation workshops with local young people. These sessions were designed as fully inclusive and open creative activities, encouraging participants to share ideas, stories and perspectives in an accessible and supportive environment. The final artwork communicates the imagination, energy and individuality of the young people involved, ensuring the mural is not only visually impactful, but also deeply connected to the community that inspired it.

This mural simply reflects different walks of life coming together to create something beautiful. Woskerski goes on to state 'The goal of my work is to make people smile and also to make them stop and try to interpret the art in their own way.”
